THE WESTSIDE BRIDGES

The Westside Bridges project consists of major improvements to the Treasure Island Corridor, which connects Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island to Interstate 80. The project improves the existing Treasure Island Road by increasing traffic capacity. The improvements consist of a realignment of the Treasure Island roadway, requiring new retaining walls, a new undercrossing, and existing bridge modifications. When the original drilling company could not perform the work, the General Contracting JV reached out to WCD, and WCD responded. WCD's scope of work includes:

  • 24″ & 30″ Soldier Piling, up to 80′ deep with a 22′ rock socket
  • 36″ CIDH piles, up to 80′ deep, with permanent casing and a rock socket, with partial construction in low-headroom conditions.
